I'm Japanese and a devoted food enthusiast as well as a culinary researcher living in Osaka, Japan. I cook Italian, Chinese, and many other national cuisines, but I like Japanese food the best because it is usually easy to prepare and healthy with a good balance of meat, fish, and vegetables.
I started this website, UmamiPot, to let as many people as possible know about Japanese cuisine. Sushi and ramen are often the focus of Japanese food, but they are only a small part of Japanese cuisine. There are many more types of Japanese cuisine.
